When we saw Yoki’s picture on our VK, we couldn’t believe our eyes. The image of a dog with long, dirty hair covered in bryophyte, still wearing his collar, was heartbreaking.

We learned that Yoki had been living like that for months, ever since his owner passed away. It was hard to imagine how he had managed to survive on his own in those conditions.

Yoki used to be a cute pet, with a warm bed and good food. His owner was a kind 80-year-old lady who had received him as a gift. They had lived happily together for four months before her death.

Her will had stated that whoever took her house had to take care of Yoki as well. Unfortunately, her three daughters were fighting among themselves for the house, and none of them took care of Yoki. He was left to live in the garden, exposed to the rain and cold, with nobody to care for him.

Fortunately, destiny intervened. An electrician checked the house and found Yoki on November 4th. We saw his picture on VK, and we knew we had to help.

We took him in and trimmed down his hair, revealing that he had a blind eye. Yoki must have been living in constant pain and discomfort, and we knew we had to get him the medical attention he needed.

We brought him to the hospital the next day, and the results were positive. Yoki was still able to see, although not as clearly as normal.

We also found that his appetite had improved, and he loved the food we gave him. Yoki was now living a new life, free from the pain and discomfort he had experienced for months. He had also made a new best friend in our shelter.

We couldn’t be more thankful for the opportunity to help Yoki. His story is a reminder of the importance of taking care of our furry friends, especially those who cannot speak for themselves.

We hope that Yoki’s story inspires others to be kind to animals and to do what they can to help those in need.
